Recent Status: A well recorded species in Suffolk especially in the Sandlings.
Life Style: A single brooded species that comes to light from mid June till August. The larvae feed in stems and shoots of Pteridium aquilinum. They pupate on the ground.
Identification: A distinctive species. The moth is brown with a paler head and thorax. There is a narrow white backwards oblique fascia on the costa at three quarters that reaches half way to the tornus. There are short white dashes around the wing tip. More Info
